Timelapses
Some things are just better when you sit and watch them for a while. In the case of timelapses, that means watching for hours.
In those hours, it is possible to see things invisible at normal speeds. clouds froth up and disappear, the celestial objects trace their arcs across the sky, and the slow progression of the day's colors becomes apparent. Be more patient, wait for days or months, and plants grow, carcasses rot, and longer patterns begin to emerge.
The timelapses shown here are linked from my Youtube channel. The videos found here will appear there, too, as well as a few that might not appear here due to redundancy and cluttering.
Taken at sunset, this timelapse shows strange, wispy clouds streaming over Las Vegas as night falls. The local weather reports say that this is actually smoke from the nearby fires in California. It was quite a strange sight, and very rare to see clouds moving in such a fashion.
A stunning display of clouds and crepuscular rays as the sun sets over the horizon. Taken on July 27th.
A display of clouds billowing over the western horizons over a 4 hour time period.
