Star Trails
Startrail images are some of the most striking in the field of astrophotography, and were one of the first pictures of the night sky I encountered. The stars are smudged into circular arcs by the Earth's rotation, which creates a swirling pattern painted across the sky. The individual constellations are lost in these images, which creates a picture that is simultaneously wholly unfamiliar and incredibly captivating.
